Tune-Ups

A tune-up is the process of checking and adjusting all of the systems in your vehicle that contribute to the efficient combustion of fuel. A tune-up can improve your fuel economy.

We will correctly set your car's fuel-to-air mixture to the optimum level. A fuel-to-air mixture that is too rich will lower fuel efficiency. A fuel-to-air mixture that is too lean can cause misfiring or engine damage. We will also install new spark plugs and set them to specifications. We will then clean and properly adjust the system for proper fuel-efficient firing.

Scheduled Maintainance Program

This can include any and all regular maintainance for your vehicle, including:

• Lights/ Bulb Replacement
• Battery Check

Computerized 4 Wheel Alignments

Wheel alignment is an adjustment on your vehicle to ensure the tires are calibrated to 'point' straight ahead. Proper wheel alignment makes a vehicle steer easily and allows tires to wear evenly. When wheels are not aligned various problems result.

The vehicle is placed on a platform, which allows the wheels to spin while a computer calculates orientation. The computer compares this to a database of manufacturer specifications for the year, make and model of the car. If wheel alignment is off, an adjustment is made and the vehicle is tested again. Balancing can be done at the same time, if required.

Transmission Rebuilds & Differentials

Diagnosing what’s wrong always comes first. Sometimes this can be done without any major dismantling. When we do have to take apart the transmission differential or transfer case, we inspect each part for damage. Any unserviceable components are replaced with new or reconditioned parts. Those that pass our tests are cleaned and returned to the assembly.

Depending on the extent of the fault in your transmission differential or transfer case, it may be more cost-effective for you to exchange the entire unit rather than repair or rebuild your original. Our technicians will advise you if you need an exchange differential or transmission transfer case once we’ve determined how serious the problem is.

Air Conditioning Testing & Repairs

Using State-of-the-Art equipment, we will evacuate and measure the refrigerant in your system, recharge the system with the proper refrigerant and test for proper cooling. In the event we find the system low on refrigerant, we will test for leaks to determine the proper course for repair.

Brake Service

Brake fluid is susceptible to moisture collection and contamination which can damage the sensitive Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) components. Baker performs a comprehensive brake inspection before we recommend any repairs. This inspection includes checking the condition of the brake fluid and the mechanical and electronic components of the brake system.

Computerized Engine Controls & Fuel Injection

At Bakers, we will clean not only the injectors but the entire fuel intake system helping to provide better fuel economy & power. We have the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment available in the industry.

Electrical Diagnosis & Repairs

Long block is a term given to a nearly complete engine assembly. The major components of the engine are pre-assembled and ready to install and have original accessories added.
