About Baker AutoIn September of 1987, Baker Auto Repair opened its doors with a crew of myself, my father, one mechanic assistant, and my wife Silvia, who was in charge of accounting. With my prior 10 years experience as an auto technician specializing in tune-ups and in driveability related problems, my father's expertise in acquiring accounts, my wife's ability to wisely manage our money and business matters and our oneness to seek God's will and direction as we proceeded, we became an unbeatable team. Our customer base grew as we began to add fleet accounts and individuals to our list of satisfied customers. The individuals came to us by "word of mouth", our best form of advertisement. Our first facility was a 4000 square foot shop. After four years of business, we moved to 2310 Calder. It is a 9600 square foot facility with nineteen service bays, plenty of parking, large waiting and front counter areas, three offices, a lunch room and room to grow. Our accounting system is totally automated and networked by four computers tracking our customer history and accounting information. Our technicians have a computerized technical service system available to assist them in service bulletins and factory recalls. Presently, Baker Auto Repair employs a business administrator, a service manager, five ASE certified technicians, one assistant technician, an office administrator, and two bookkeepers.
